Leah Derewicz, owner of Peacock Pottery
Tell us about your business: We sell beautiful, handmade, hand painted Polish Pottery. All Polish Pottery is usable in the dishwasher, microwave, oven & freezer. The dinner and bakeware is durable enough for everyday use and pretty enough for company!
How long have you been in business? I started the business in November 2005
Tell us about your faith: My entire life. I grew up in a small town, my family were members of a Country ELCA Lutheran Church. Currently, we live in Phoenix and still are active in the Lutheran Church. I believe that God has been with me every step of my life and am thankful for that peace of mind.
How has your faith in God inspired and helped grow your business? I believe that if you are kind and respectful to people they will return the favor. I always try to be at my best for my customers and believe that God will continue to help me build my business in creative ways and continue to bring customers to my door.
What Advice can you give to other moms thinking about starting their own business? Start a business that you are passionate about, I love Polish Pottery and it shows every time I speak about it.
