To get started, here’s one of the love songs that I wrote for my husband to put you in a Valentine Mood! I actually sang this to him on our wedding day:

And here’s a yummy recipe to make Valentine Cutouts:

Valentine Sugar Cookie Cut outs

1 Cup Butter softened (no substitutions)
3 1/2 Cups Flour
1-8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 Teaspoon baking powder
1 Egg
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
In a large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until well combined, Add sugar; beat until fluffy.   Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to cream cheese mixture; mix well. Divide Dough in half. Wrap each portion in plastic wrap; refrigerate about 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 375°F. On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/8″ thickness. Cut dough with cookie cutters. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 Minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Sprinkle with red and pink sugars or decorate with frosting. Makes about 7 dozen cookies.
