Tell us about yourself:  I am a grateful believer and a single mother of three kids. Charlie is 7, Hannah is 5, and Sarah is 3. I love friendship, laughter, music, dancing, learning and growth. I am enjoying getting healthy spiritually and physically! I am especially looking forward to spending time with my kids this summer bicycling and swimming rather than sending them to daycare!

Give us a description of your company: Apriori Beauty’s mission is to help women look and feel beautiful and healthy with the purest, most-natural and most-innovative products and opportunity. When you look beautiful, you feel good. When you feel beautiful, you look good. And, when you can share this beauty with others, you can feel good inside and out.

 How long have you been in business? Just started

 How long have you been a Christian & share a little about your faith: I have had a love for Christ as far back as I can remember. As a young child I asked Christ into my heart and renewed my commitment to Christ many times. I always have believed but there were quite a few years in my teens when I didn’t keep Him in the center of my life and forgot that deep love and relationship I had with Him. I also didn’t understand the permanence of my salvation that He provided for me. Through many difficult circumstances I was drawn back into His loving arms and I continue to be amazed as I learn how deep and great His love is for me! I am so grateful that I don’t have to be perfect and that has given me freedom to grow in His unconditional love! I currently volunteer at my church’s Celebrate Recovery helping other women who have been through similar circumstances and I also continue to grow and heal as I attend these meetings.

 How has your faith in God inspired and helped grow your business? Without my faith in God, I would not have taken this leap of faith by starting something new. I would have played it safe while missing my children in the process. I truly believe that He is guiding me down this path and I am amazed at how everything unfolds before my eyes when I give Him the reigns!

 What Advice can you give to other moms thinking about starting their own business? Pray about it of course, and consider the reputation of the business. Decide what your goals are and what you are willing to sacrifice to achieve your goals. If your goal is to be home with your children and you have a good quality business or service to offer, commit to a reasonable length of time. I decided that I would not allow myself to quit before a year, minimum. I don’t expect it to soar right away, unless God really wants it to. I trust that God knows my heart and if my spiritual hearing is poor but my heart is soft, He will speak up so that I know what direction He wants me to go. One of my favorite sayings is “If God brings you to the edge of a cliff, one of two things will happen. Either He will catch you when you fall, or He will teach you how to fly.”
