Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. ~ Ps. 37:4

When you allow God to work and fully trust Him-amazing things can happen! Of course, getting the desires of your heart doesn’t always mean that you’ll end up with a large, gorgeous apartment with granite counter tops and a garden bathtub…but sometimes it does!

Despite all the problems and issues and snag ups along the way we were able to get the apartment in Boston and will now have a home to move in to next week! I can’t tell you what a burden this is off of me and my husband, or how much time, money, and energy it’s going to save us! I’m so happy now that I didn’t doubt, didn’t worry, didn’t freak out.

I have had many people tell me in the past, “I just couldn’t do it, there’s no way I could live moving around all the time, being apart from my husband, and not knowing where we would be in a few years.” The thought I’ve always had when they say this is that really, they don’t know either. I’m so thankful for a lifestyle that has forced me into trusting God. Because even if you have your whole future planned out-it’s really all an illusion. An accident, a disease, an unexpected job loss can change your entire world in a split second. It’s like the parable in Luke 12 where the rich man thinks he is good for many years and has built himself up a bunch of earthly treasures only to die that very night. So no matter if you’re a military spouse with a constantly changing lifestyle, or you think you have everything all planned out, be sure that your trust is only in God. Because when the unexpected and unknown comes, and it will, you won’t have to freak out or worry either!
