Summer 2010 Family Vacation Guide ~ Recipes from Jen Malcolm
Fruit Dip
Ingredients:
* 8 ounce cream cheese
* 2 TBSP Milk
* 1 cup confectioners sugar (10x)
* 1 TSP cinnamon (you can use more or less depending on your taste)
* 1 TBSP Vanilla
Directions:
Using a hand mixer blend all the ingredients together until creamy.
The fruit that I use for this platter includes, but of course, is not limited to:
* strawberries
* bananas
* apples
* pineapples
* grapes
For the apples and bananas I usually sprinkle lemon or orange juice over them so they don’t turn brown … and I cut them up at the very last minute.

Strawberry Smoothie
Ingredients:
* 1 cup frozen/fresh strawberries
* 1 banana
* 1/2 cup orange juice
* 1 cup plain yogurt (I’ve used vanilla)
Directions:
* Cut banana into small pieces and put them in a blender
* Add the strawberries, yogurt and orange juice
* Blend the mixture until smooth
Great for breakfast and for a snack anytime!!
Make this with your children; they love helping in the kitchen.
