Interview with Angela Bickford; Staff Development Manager & Houston, TX Coordinator

1)    What is your vision for Mommy Bag Marketing in your area?

I am excited to see how Mommy Bags bless the women and businesses in the Houston area. I would love to see it grow to the point where there needs to be another coordinator in the Houston area because it has grown so big. I am always on the lookout for new events and women to bless with the bags and new businesses who are excited to join on this adventure.

 2)    Share a little about you and your family.

My family currently consists of my husband and myself (and our 5 animals!), although we are trying to build a family. Obviously, everything happens in God’s timing, and in the meantime, my sister and her new baby will be living with us while she gets on her feet. For fun, we like to watch movies, go out to eat at new restaurants, and spend time with our families. If my husband could eat Mexican food every day, he would, but I prefer chocolate and could eat it for breakfast! I’m an avid baker too. I guess the only other thing to share about my family is that we are constantly working to better our lives and follow the path God has for us.

 3)    How long have you been a Christian and share a little about your faith.

I have been a Christian since I was 16. I was raised in a broken home and did not have the best of examples on my father’s side. I met a friend in 4th grade and became like a part of his family, who were Christians. They helped lead me to Christ and I still keep in touch with them to this day. I have had my moments of less faith than others, but I know that God is there daily. My faith has helped me through numerous down times, including infertility. My faith is what gets me through. My husband and I pray together daily, and we always include the business in our prayers. We ask God to lead me in my business decisions, in the way I interact with customers, etc. so that I can present a Godly example.

 4)    What is the best part of being a Mommy Bag Marketing Coordinator?

The best part to me is being able to connect with other Christian women, whether it be the business women I met who want to advertise, or the moms who I meet that receive the bags. I’ve become friends with several of these women, and it’s such a blessing to make Christian connections, especially in a job!

 5)    Share something fun or silly about yourself.

Hmm… my special talents. I am actually a published writer, an experienced editor, and an experienced marketer. So, I sometimes like to call myself a Communications Specialist. J I also used to be a teacher. Currently, I have about 4 jobs, if not more, so I consider that a talent too!

If I had more time, I’d probably read more. I love to read and just don’t get enough time to do it.

6)    If you have an additional business, give a short description about it.

My other business, always B designs, offers custom stationery & gifts including invitations, business cards, decorated clipboards, scrabble tile, domino, and bottle cap necklaces, and premade scrapbook albums. The great thing about this business is that I can help my Mommy Bags businesses when they need help designing or printing their inserts for the bags!
