Charlotte Gleason and her maid, Dora, head to New York from London so that Charlotte can marry a man she has never met and save the family from financial ruin. On the trip, the girls decide to trade places and have quite an adventure. Until their lies catch up with them.
My favorite quote from the book is: “Doing the right thing is often hard. If it were easy, everyone would do it.”
That pretty much sums up the lesson to be learned. This is a great story and keeps you guessing until the end.
Thanks to Bethany House for a copy to review.
