I am thrilled to have found the Christian Moms Business Resource and am so excited I get to contribute to this great blog! With us Christian women our families come first, it is so important that our values are expressed to our kids in everything they do, especially in the media they take in on a daily basis.

There are so many forms of media coming at our kids from every direction that us moms are constantly feeling the struggle of how we choose quality entertainment. I have found for years that providing family friendly entertainment for my daughter is an ongoing battle, but thankfully I learned that I did not have to do it alone.

So where do us moms go to find out more? There are many great resources that provide entertainment guidance and suggestions to help us provide entertainment with the values we hold dear. I have listed a few of these you can check out here:

1. Parents Television Council
   The Parents Television Council is the driving force behind keeping TV safe for our kids. They keep their fingers on the pulse of current TV shows and spearhead numerous initiatives for keeping advertisers honest about the values we preach. They are a wealth of information about the current state of TV and have many great ways how to get involved. Go to http://www.parentstv.org/.
2. Focus on the Family’s Plugged In
   From the trusted source of Focus on the Family, PluggedIn offers movies reviews, TV reviews and discussions on entertainment options suitable for the whole family. You can feel confident that their choices have your best interests at heart and we hope to spark intellectual thought, spiritual growth and a desire to follow the command of Colossians 2:8: “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.” You can learn more by going to http://www.pluggedin.com/.
3. Christian Spotlight on Entertainment
   A wonderful place for any Christian mom to browse with information on movie and TV reviews as well as DVD suggestions. This website also has a today’s prayer focus section providing guidance on entertainment. Check it out at http://www.christiananswers.net/spotlight/home.html.

For any of you moms that have a passion for ensuring quality family entertainment there is an organization called the National Board of Mothers who review family friendly products. They are always looking for moms that want to review G and PG rated family movies.
