Weekly Recipes For Busy Moms ~ Chocolate Chip Cookies with a Twist

I have a ladies potluck to go to this Friday and my favorite thing to bring to events like this are desserts–specifically cookies! That way I get to bake and eat them–and avoid eating ALL of them! Here are some super yummy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipes that have fun twists to them!

Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Drops

1/2 cup softened butter or margarine

3 ounces cream cheese

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugars.  Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned around edges.  Makes about 3 dozen cookies

1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup softened butter
1/3 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in Chocolate Chips. Bake  for 11 to 13 minutes.
