Thursday’s Top Ten: Ten Verses for When Life is Hard

Life as a Christian can definitely be hard. Whether you’re facing a deployment, a betrayal by a friend, worried over a hospitalized relative, or just having one of “those days” here are ten precious verses to cling to!

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:1-2

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31
