On busy days make up these sandwhiches ahead of time and you’ll have a no fuss, yummy lunch waiting for you!
Italian Cold Cut Sandwich
1 pound of deli ham
1 pound of deli salami
6 slices of provolone cheese
12 slices of Italian Bread
1/2 cup prepared basil pesto
Spread a thin layer of pesto on each slice of bread. Add ham, salami and cheese and top with another slice of bread. Wrap in foil and place in a large freezer bag. Freeze for up to 2 weeks. To serve: Remove from freezer in the morning and it will be thawed by lunchtime.
Turkey Bacon Sandwich
1 pound of deli turkey
6 slices of bacon, cooked
6 slices of Swiss cheese
12 slices of whole wheat Bread
1/2 cup prepared basil pesto
Spread a thin layer of pesto on each slice of bread. Add turkey, bacon and cheese and top with another slice of bread. Wrap in foil and place in a large freezer bag. Freeze for up to 2 weeks. To serve: Remove from freezer in the morning and it will be thawed by lunchtime.
