The first and most important productive me time you can have is to be sure to make time for God each day. Whether you call this devotions, prayer, Bible reading, meditation, whatever–just do it! My days and my attitude are always so much better when I make sure to include this as a part of my day! If you make time for nothing else 10 minutes reading the Bible and praying throughout the day will change your life! (you can even do it online these days and find great commentaries and devotions too!!!)

Another great idea for Me time is to take a class in something you’re passionate about or have always wanted to learn. Whether it’s an online course or maybe just some internet tutorial found over Youtube (I recently just learned how to give my self side bangs that turned out pretty stinking great if I say so myself) you will feel great learning and growing and many of these things can even translate into money making opportunities, if desired. Otherwise they’re just enriching your life and helping your brain to stretch and think beyond baby food and the ABC song!

Work! Ok, that sounds totally wrong right? However, if you’re working from home you will absolutely need to be doing something that you love, enjoy, and are passionate about. Because of this if you have a job you love to do it no longer feels like work and you’re happy to combine “me time” and “work time” Most of my me time is filled in this way, in the evenings the books I read for pleasure are ones that I will review on my personal blog where I host reviews and giveaways. When I’m blogging for fun most of the time it’s for reviews or giveaways which in turn bring in goodies for my family. Right now I’m “relaxing” while writing this with the kids in bed. Because I love writing nearly all my work feels like “me time”.

When you can find things that will not only help you relax and feel like an adult again, but will also grown, enrich, and strengthen your life you will become a peaceful, happy, contented person!

My favorite idea was how she suggested sorting and storing the toys. She suggested ziploc bags of all sizes to group similar things, and baskets for things like books. I had these things sitting around my house but hadn’t used them for storing toys. Now Amber’s little princesses and dresses are all together in a cute pink clear snap bag I had and her books that wouldn’t find in the book case are off the floor and in pretty baskets.

Another tip was to not use great big boxes to store anything but stuffed animals. I had a huge cardboard box in the closet and Amber basically never touched anything in it. Last week I went through, realized most of the stuff in there was bags and not even things Amber would play with, threw away all the cheap/broken happy meal toys, and put the rest in groups in her closet. She’s playing with them all again!
